#2 6U FallBall: He still makes this face...holding breath and used to always grunt...i think he still does.

#3 6U Fallball: One of my all time favs.

EDIT: I had to add some of him when he was little ..these others from y'all are great!

Good idea. Here are a few to share:

Photo 1- About the time that he started playing T-ball, and his first MLB love were the Twins (before it became the Nats).

Photo 2: Rooting for the Nats after the team came to DC and the new stadium opened.

Photo 3: Spending time with Dominican and American players in Consuelo, DR on the amazing Home Run Baseball Camp trip organized by the one and only Coach Mac. Our son is third from the right.

Photo 4: Pitching in the Kyle's Kamp tournament, an event in DC/VA that raises money every year to help kids battling cancer.

This is a great idea HSHULER.  The top picture was about age 8.  LSU wasn’t on the radar.  He was all UGA then.  A good friend was the coach and is  HUGE LSU fan  I guess it was destiny, haha.  The bottom picture is from Omaha this past season.  Unfortunately, it was from game 1 of finals against the Gators.  We came up a bit short.

I think I was at that game.  We live just south of Omaha and get to 3-4 games every year.

Okay - I'll play.

Cooperstown (2005) - he's first one on the left front row.

High School (Senior Year 2012) - Back row middle (#12)

Junior College (2013):

Can't seem to find pics from when he went on to a D2 University.   Probably on my other computer.

Ah.  I found them.

D2 Regional Playoffs:

D2  - On the big screen:

Not sure if this will work as it’s from a Tweet someone posted. My son is at the plate. The commentary, by the father of an opposing player, is priceless.

BIG rivalry game as the teams are adjoining towns.

I believe it was a 2-4 game at that point.  Late in the game. HR put them up 5-4, which was the final score.

Thanks. Nothing beats that dad’s comments. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it and laughed. The other team has always been superior in baseball, but things changed over the past couple of years. It was sweet to watch.

I just thought of something else. Send videos if you have them too. :-)

LOL! I have literally hours and hours (if not days or weeks or months) of video on DVD.   Wife recorded almost all of his HS games and all of the college games we attended.  If I really want to go down memory lane all I have to do is dig out a video.  It would probably take me a month or two to watch them all.  Probably close to 50 DVD's.  And that doesn't include some of his college games she never got around to burning to DVD.

Yeah, but which one????  There's quite a few good ones (and a few we'd rather not live over again ).

My favorite video of my 2017 CF.  In the background you can hear one of his soccer teammates at the game yelling "I love soccer! Soccer legs! " or something like that.

Sorry about the camera work.  The videographer (not me; I would have done a much poorer job) got a little excited.

Nice web gem!

You’re making this too hard. :-)

There has to be one, two or ten in particular that sparks feelings of nostalgia.

Here is my son pitching in the 2011 Dixie Youth World Series and on the mound about 5 minutes before tearing his UCL in October 2016

Great pics!

How is his recovery process going?

It was long and frustrating for him.  He didn't like his throwing protocol but he stuck with it.  He only had a few issues where he felt discomfort in his elbow but he was assured that it was due to scar tissue.  He isn't quite back to where he was with his velocity, but I think that is more mechanical than physical.  He has one more scrimmage to throw in this weekend and if he does well he thinks he may get one of the starter roles.

Best wishes on a full recovery!

Thought I posted this yesterday so If duplicate I apologize. Lefty in 6th grade pitching middle school county championship game. 5 inning mercy rule shutout, and 8th grade parents went balistic because it was his first start of year. He was supposed to be an innings eater at the start of game, but they never got to him! Probably one of dads best baseball memories yet!2BA07D82-24FB-45D3-A56A-B792032651A2

Dalex.....I grew up down the road from you....if thats Center Grove, IN?  I’m from a little town called Edinburgh. I spent many Friday nights “cruising” the center grove/ Greenwood area. Went to prom with a center grove girl.

Hey Stayfocused!  It is CG, but i graduated from Indian Creek, 89'  May have played against you, and I'm SURE we know some of the same peeps.  I grew up in Nineveh, so small world, huh?!?

Great idea for a thread.   So my oldest son started out a switch hitter when he was real young.  Then he went to left handed hitter only by 8-9 years old,  and all through high school.   When he got to college he wasn't allowed to touch a bat as a RHP.

BTW - The high school picture was a dinger over the right field fence.  Baseball dads never forget.   I took the picture and heard it land in the woods with everybody cheering.   ;-)

This is my knucklehead (college) son pitching in 40 degree weather in freezing rain with no sleeves.   It was one of the coldest games I've ever been to.   Yes, the Dartmouth first base coach is yawning in this picture.   He is cold and bored.    I told you baseball Dad's never forget!

MTH, just noticed our boys share the same number and mascot. Pretty funny. And by the way, I felt way more than my hair on fire when mine was in that spot last June!!  I couldn’t breath. Haha

Or something like that. This is a picture of my dream team, the one based in our neighborhood. I got cut but was picked up by a team in another neighborhood that was sponsored by a small delicatessen/convenience store. It didn't have quite the cachet of McDonald's back then. This was my younger brother's team. He is standing on the right, in front of the coach. It is probably 1966 or '67.

You definitely win the “Throwback Award.”

Can anyone top ‘66/67? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

IMG_0949I found this photo among my grandmother's things recently, although she has been gone for 30 years.  My step-grandfather loved baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers.  I like to think he is in the picture somewhere.

Wow!

My dad was an avid photographer, and documented many of his experiences in WWII.  He was 82nd Airborne, so the old photo album tells quite a story.  Anyways, - not a picture of him, but a photo he took of the fellas playing a baseball game in Vittel, northeastern France, after the liberation of Europe and prior to transferring to Marseilles to return home.IMG_1597
