I'm interested and tell them both great job and give your daughter a doller from me. Big Grin
A few "Shout-outs" (is that term still used?) for Thursday games:

Congrats to McKinney High (playing such great team baseball. Keep up the good work!)

Congrats to Nico and Garrett at McK North!! Stay hot.

Congrats to Andrew Smith at Rowlett. Another "unknown" player in the metroplex with tons of talent!

Also, congrats to Paul Chaney at Plano on a great relief performance. I'm proud of you man!
Congrats to Paul and the rest of the Cats! I can't believe I am missing all these exciting games.
I'm getting good updates though!

Thanks all for calls and prayers about T-ball senior. Had quite a scare today at hospital. Recovered from a code blue. (I think it was called to get everyone to room quickly). Anyway he is doing much better.

Hug your kids very tight no matter if they get a hit or a k.... Good luck to all and hope to see you soon.

It was a great 3-3 game after 6 innings and my watch said one minute left, so play another inning and both teams scored 4 in the seventh. FM took Brandon Parent out (he had retired the last 11 straight -- and he struck out the guy before that) b/c of pitch count. The relievers weren't sharp. HCA left their lefty in for too many pitches and he tired. 2nd and 3rd, two out, down by two and Wheeler up (he already had a bomb straight into a stiff wind) and what happens... oh, the drama... you guessed it... a wild pitch that dribbles into the dugout to tie the game. Strikeout on the next pitch ends it in a 'kiss your sister' tie.

2 good teams - fun to watch.

Incredible relief pitching by Paul Chaney. I believe he held them hitless for 4 innings, and stuck out 8.

Mansfield made a bunch of errors late in the game to keep innings alive.

Plano 4-0!

Your kids did a great job fighting back and not giving up. Your relief pitcher did a great job of mixing it up over the last 3 innings.

Tough loss to swallow when your opponent only hits 3 balls out of the infield...but...that is baseball especially at the high school level. Hopefully my players and I will learn to put people away when we have a chance. I do not like to lose, but if this experience can in any way teach us a lesson so that we do not let this happen in a district game, then I will take that positive from last night.

Plano has a good team, and good coach. Good luck to them the rest of the season.
Plano East beats Coppell 1-0. Justin Snider is the hero with a game winning base hit in the bottom of 7. PD told me Derek Bell pitched a great game and only gave up 5 hits in 7 innings. PSIII was 5-7 on the day. Plano East lost their first game to Mansfield. Score was 8-5, or something like that.

McKinney beat Argyle 6-5 in 8 innings. Don't know any other details.
