In the rematch...

FBA 1
TCA 6

WP: Chris McTavish
LP: Zack Pendry

Baseball is a funny game. Yesterday, losing 5-0 to Namaann Forest in the 7th, TCA scored 6 runs to win. Then today a 6-1 victory over an opponent who blew us out a week ago. Go figure.

FBA has a good ball club that will give Prestonwood and DC a run for the district. Rollins pitched the early game vs. Namaan (2-2 tie) and dislocated his non-throwing shoulder while throwing a pitch. Looked painful popping it back in place. Hope he is OK.

PD - OMG 5 for 7? What are you feeding that kid? You know Mizzou is smiling big!

Cheapseats - Congrats on your two wins. Glad to hear the games went well. Yesterday's sounded exciting.

11's - The losing pitcher for Northwest in the 10-4 loss was a junior lefty by the name of Collins. He fared much better then his outing against Waxahachie where he gave up two bombskis to Boomer and walked six. Today, he only gave up one long ball and walked two....Big Grin

Pawfect and Expo - WoW!!!!Congrats on Aaron Gilbreath's (Goldberg's) victory over Walker Kelly and the Yellowjackets.
Thanks everyone....but that's not something I would ever publish here without kirk's intervention.

Congratulations to those that had great days....including the Collins kid (very impressive). For those that didn't, there's more baseball tomorrow. Life is good.

I too hope for a speedy recovery for David Rollins (MIZ-ZOU!).
Colleyville Heritage-7
Arlington Heights-1

WP-Gilbreath
LP-Kelly(hard to believe)

Heritage bats came out hot today as they give the speedy southpaw Walker Kelly(29-1) his first loss of his four year high school career. Heritage had two big homeruns, one off of Kelly, by Steven Hill, and Tim Maitland. CHHS Vs. Dent. Ry. tomorrow to see who plays Highland Park for the championship later on that day.

I guess you could say Rowlett wins the tournament with the best record in the tournament. There was no championship game. Really bad format if you ask me but we'll take it. Thank you Flower mound for being great hosts.

Centennial High school won the Hillcrest Tourny today playing ST Marks High School. Jordan Badarack Austin Krause and Eric Dzurisin all pitched to a no hit shutout to win 10-0, and the titans bats are looking very strong as well. Congrats to kindle and Mckinney North at their tourny its going to be a tough district as always.
Newman Smith 4
McKinney North 3

WP-Kemp (he relieved Reagan Blackmon who pitched the first 5-1/3 innings and came out with the score 3-3)
LP-Sorrells (CG) (Pitched well enough to win)

HR-Reagan Blackmon (game winner in the 6th)

North stranded 10 runners through the first 4 innings and 12 for the game. We also struck out 14 times! That's not gonna win you many ball games.

Congratulations to the Trojans for finally winning their own tournament for the first time.

Another congratulations goes out to the following Bulldogs named to the "All-Star" team for the tournament:

Garrett Yates 1B
Trey Sorrells C-P
Nico Taylor RF
Ryan Hughes P

On a side note.......Newman Smiths coach let Newman Smiths starting pitcher throw 120 pitches this early in the season. Not real smart if you ask me.
