for all of the son's of the hsbaseballwebsters that are in professional ball to begin their migrations toward their spring training sites. Many will be reporting early, some may already be working out at their team's facility.

In the very near future(yes this season even) more of the hsbaseballweb alumni will reach their ultimate baseball goal and be contributing to their major league team's games. Others will surpass expectations and leap beyond where they are expected to go this season and ready themselves to get there in the next season. The minor league progression is a true test but those that master each level cannot be denied their dream.

I stand in awe of these young men's accomplishments and determination to achieve their goals. They are all to be commended and their families have every right to stick their chests out and crow a bit!!

Everyone travel safe, have great springs and keep working hard!!! Your self-belief will far out-weigh a bunch of doubting-Thomases. 14

Thanks OPP. Same to you!

Our guy is in full work outs here in Texas. He and his new wife are pretty excited about attending Fan Fest in SF next weekend. Spring Training is just around the corner. Almost time to dust off the bat bags and pack up. Seems like he just got home. I know he's getting a little antsy, though, and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

Hope is always alive and well in Spring Training, which is what makes it so special. We'll be rooting for all of our hsbaseballweb boys when they take the field!
OPP ..

And good wishes to Josh Zach from the families of all the guys who hope to face off with him someday.

Ours has been working hard for quite a while now ... running, lifting, long toss started back in late October. He has worked something out with players from his high school to toss with him (some of these kids were quite surprised at the distance our son can throw on his long toss) and one of the varsity catchers provides catching for his bullpen work. He knows this is a critical year and wants to impress in ST ... hoping to move on to Tennessee but also realizing he could be back in the Cal League too.

Kids head out end of this month to move into a small apt they rented in Tucson, unless there won't be anybody there to play catch and bullpen with ... in which case he and bride will delay their departure. Early camp starts 22 February, to which he has been invited so he was thankful that he is still on the Dbacks' "good" list.

Looking forward to following all the boys this year ... and hoping that posters will update us on where their sons are assigned so we can bookmark their names Smile

Post script ... Duh !!! My apologies to Zach and Mom and Pop Duke. I know I have renamed Zach in the past ... sorry for the "senior moment"
