Is there too much time between the playoffs and the world series ?---I know the reasons for it but it could well be that the Indians will clinch tomorrow and that leaves a week off for both teams--you can rest assured that the Rockies don't want time off the way they are playing

not TV's fault, the logistics of having a flex start date wouldn't work for us fans ...

no planning for capacity for hotels

hinder planning for food services

hinder planning for fan travel

agree the Rockies sweep didn't help em much, lost ticket/tv revenue etc Frown

btw, the ALCS could go to Sunday or poss Monday if tomorrow is rain out - so Wednesday seems quite reasonable
Maybe someday they might get into neutral field for WS, like the super bowl? Big Grin

I think that the season becomes too long, and October in the north can become a real problem, though every year they manage to get through it.

Could one get used to the phrases such as "Mr. September", "The Boys of September", "September Playoffs" or "The September Classic". Wink

Cleveland fine dining works very well thanks Smile

note:
*the babes are just out of pic at the fish cleaning table with a box of cabernet

*no heaters required, we just roll up or down the shirtsleeves

NCAA banned baseball during cold weather months? Not for us D III guys and gals. Of course, the D III's realize they're kind of an afterthought, and when the NCAA gets involved, it's usually to mess something up, but we open up, on February 12, where 50 degrees will be a balmy day.

Our first month or so of games involves heavy socks, gloves, portable heaters, thermal lined jeans, and checking Accu-weather frequently.
