For 06 at Desert Mountain you have Drew Buerlien(OF/C), should start varsity, Jason Jarvis(IF/P), and Jeff Fox(IF). For 07 there are so many good players in the valley. You have Matt Newman(LHP/CF) who will play varsity for Brophy Prep, Josh Garcia(RHP/1b) who will play on their frosh team. At Horizon for 07, you have Tim Alderson(RHP/1b) who is a great pitcher and can hit, and Kevin Roderick(RHP/SS) who is also a great pitcher and can hit well.Desert Mountain also has a couple of good 07's in Jason Butler(LHP/1b) who is a good pitcher with great movement on the ball and good velocity and Mike Galterio(RHP/3b) who is starting to take up pitching and does very well but also has a very good glove at 3b after switching there from catcher and is a very pure hitter who can drop some bombs. Watch out for these guys in the future.

AZCOACH, No problem, I know some of these boys well through travel ball. All of them played on some of the states best tournament teams,(Scottsdale Blaze, Arizona Landsharks, Scottsdale Scorpions.)

I'm writing from northern California and saw this thread. We played against a kid in late October in Peoria who was the best outfielder I've ever seen at that age. I've had a couple first-rounders (Pat Burrell, Chris Gruler) and a couple all-stars (Jimmy Rollins, Dontrelle Willis) and the Newman kid has the same look as they did at that age. The kid had great tools and unbelievable instincts! He'll be a first-rounder if he keeps developing.
Yes you are right.....that kid is a STUD! My son has played against him and faced him many times and every time it seems like he always gets the game winning hit or makes an imcrediable diving catch to save them game for his team. Every time I watch him play it seems like he is getting better and better.
