Top Sophomores and Freshman

I've been around Emens a lot. If you know him, he's a nice guy. Very competitive, but he is good at the heart.

MD--

Son plays for Drillers 08. We scrimmaged the Drillers White at 10:00 because our opponent thought it was going to be too wet to play.

We both love Coach B and hope that we have a great summer. We are shaping up to have a lot of fun!!

Also, I find it nice to be playing for such a great new group (i.e.-all around- coaches, kids and parents) that flies under the radar of the slings and arrows (or should I say ICBMs and WMDs) of the notables.

Man, I'm realizing that some of these threads can be better than a soap opera, and way more addicting!!

May be a little biased here but I'm gonna throw in a name many of you probably have not heard...Tyler Sibley of Frisco High School(teammate) kids a stud hit about 350 this season and will continue to rake..also throw Niko Taylor on that list kids a stud

No worries Dtiger - I'm also friends with Emens and like to get some friendly teasing in when the opportunity comes along......... and I agree with your comments.

Agree on both. T-Bird son played against both in district this year.

Some of us have Adult ADD, help us out by posting Summer teams these kids are going to be on if you know them so we can look for them over the summer. I am going to spend way to much time around the ball fields this summer and I want to enjoy watching and getting to know the talent the is out there.

Just pointing out not one single Tiger from 16U has been mentioned. Hainsfurther, Ritter, Lewis, Akins, Poston, Maitland... I'll stop there. Yes I am biased. But for me, Hainsfurther is just as good as Emens at short. Ritter is probably the overall best catcher in the metroplex for 16U. Lewis is probably the most proven lefty. Akins played varsity for FM as a fish, and yet none of these kids received consideration so far.

Just for the record --- I have not mentioned or promoted any of the kids in this age group, INCLUDING my own. I'm not really very keen on the fact that he was mentioned --- (I beg you to notice that I am innocent on this subject!).

All those kids are very good players, DTiger -- as is Kyle Meinhardt (sp?).

Agreed. That is where threads like this become very self-promoting.

Most kids that are good enough will play their way into the headlines.

I did not include myself for a reason. And i wasn't hoping for others to. I had to give some props to Hainsfurther though who started on varsity at HP as a freshman, and Ritter.

Beck, Rome, Luce, Liba, Sibley, Padden, Baker, Taylor, Sorrells, Bruce (I've heard rumors that he may not be playing with them though) and Roher have all played together for the last couple of years, first with the Roughriders, coached by Trey Beck and Larry McCartney and then as Image last summer coached by Denny Dixon and Jeff Harp. All of these guys are studs and this team will be one of the toughest teams to beat in the Dallas area in my opinion. Every one of those kids are incredible guys and come from some of the greatest families I have ever known. I wish them all the luck in the world. Rick did a great job getting these guys to commit and stay together and continue playing. I'm gonna miss coaching these kids as I have for the last 2-3 years. I love these guys and always will.

Last I heard, Rome was playing with them. What happened there? The only other one I'd heard that might not was TB. Who are the other one's? I'd be surprised to hear any other one's weren't playing with them. That's going to be a GOOD team.
