Any perceived problems don't appear to be due to moderators action/inaction, but most likely because sometimes posters (and perhaps moderators) get their egos in the way of their responses. That happens in every day life, too.
Grateful....your posting suggests that moderators are likely to be blameless.....as you say "most likely" posters egos get in the way.....I suggest that the majority of posters and moderators post and moderate with reason and good intentions......
....but, things are never 100% perfect....and that applies to moderators and posters.....
Think Fungo and FutureBackMom got it most right on this thread....
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
