Played there. It was a great experience on and off the field. The host families were awesome, just dont be fooled.. They tell you all this stuff about how you wil be picked based on preformance, not true. They already have the team picked before you get there. All in all it was alot of fun.
How does one go about getting an invitation or nomination to this event?

Our son will also be at Joplin. He was invited to play for team RBI. This event has an unusual way of gathering top players for the tournament/invitation tryout for the USA Jr National team. With only Little League in our town, son did not have affiliations with the other organizations who are represented (Pony, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Legion, etc.), so was very pleased that MLB selected him for the RBI team.
We'll look for you at the tournament and help cheer on both teams....except when we square off!
