There's a diner up next to UVA where they serve something called a "Grillswith", which is a Krispy Kreme glazed donut put on the grill (caramelizing the sugar glaze) and then filled with a scoop of ice cream. It's an art to leave the ice cream on there just long enough so that it doesn't melt too much.

Someone had to be drunk to have thought that up for the first time. But a lot of drunks have enjoyed it since! It's a favorite after midnight snack up in Charlottesville.
As for "Baseball's Best Burger" which is the Krispie Kream donut grilled with a bacon cheeseburger in between.. I believe it was the Grizzlies' former GM who thought of the idea. The Grizzlies also have "Baseball's Best Nachos" which the show featured which were brand new for the 2009 season. The last current "Baseball's Best" item is the "Baseball's Best Hotdog" which is a hot dog with melted cheese, onions, saurkraut, and bacon.

I've had the hotdog and the nachos and both of them are very good. I didn't get a chance to try the burger..

They introduced a new "Baseball's Best" item in September, but I have not seen what it is..

Duuuuuuuuude,

That is spelled "Krispy Kreme"!

How could you get THAT wrong?

I mean, I can take a lot of typos, grammar errors, misspellings and improper apostrophes on this site, but now you've crossed the line!

Smile

My Bad Midlo! I understand the seriousness of my blunder and beyond the public embarassment will accept any punishment you feel fit. Eek
If Midlo didn't know - I would be very upset with him!!

wiki sez: "Prior to the 2008 season Fielder became a vegetarian, removing meat and fish from his diet. Although it is Fielder's choice, he made this change after reading Michael Pollan's book The Omnivore's Dilemma, given to him by his wife Chanel."

Very interesting.

Interesting indeed mom...if that kid is a vegetarian then he sure must eat a lot of celery to be as big as he is. Everytime I see him on TV he looks rounder...

...he must spend a lot time here thinking about his swing....
