Hello Texas Baseball,

I had the opportunity to meet up with a few of you at the National HS Baseball Coaches Association Convention earlier this month and met up with an individual that gave me information on this site and forum.

I wanted to introduce parents, coaches and players to TruPreps.com. TruPreps is labeled as THE High School Showcase Community and gives athletes a FREE resource to post photos, upload highlight videos and answer questions about themselves. TruPreps is a sister site to MaxPreps.com which is the largest HS sports site in the nation and provides coaches with a wealth of free tools that make their lives easier and help them provide national exposure for their players. With a TruPreps profile, a players high school team schedule (that is entered in to MaxPreps) is linked to their TruPreps profile and their individual stats can also be linked.

It is simply another resource for parents and players to get their name out and also a great resource for college coaches and scouts to have access to a players information and to track their progress throughout the season.

The best part of it all is that TruPreps is entirely FREE. It does not cost players, parents or their programs a dime.

For more information or to create your personal profile, visit http://www.trupreps.com.

Folks,
I would strongly encourage you to check out this site. Just like the MSL, this came along a year too late for my son. There is no catch - it is completely free. TruPreps and MaxPreps are part of the CBS family and so their costs are covered by advertisers. Additionally, college coaches can view the material for free. The really cool thing is that if your HS coach participates in MaxPreps, all player stats are automatically dumped into the player's TruPreps page. Please take the time to check this out as I believe that it could be a very valuable and cost effective recruiting tool for players.

Also, while I know that generally, advertising or promoting a product or service on this site is frowned upon, I hope that the moderators will see the value (and free cost) to high school players.
