I'm curious what is the typical schedule through June and July for 15/16 year old players either travel or local (I realize this may vary depending on the area of the country).

My older son is a 2016 playing junior legion in PA.  His typical week is games on Mon./Wed/Fri/Sat./Sun with a practice on an off-day.  They have played 24 games since June 1.

He pitches about once per week (typically 80 or so pitches) and may throw a bullpen on an off day.  He plays the field in the other games.

How does this compare to other leagues or travel ball?

Son is 2016 as well. I grew up in Nebraska so played legion and that sounds a lot like our schedule then.

Son's is Monday and Tuesday indoor workouts.  Hitting, arm care, and conditioning.  Wednesday field practice and more hitting.  Thrusday no organized team activity.  Games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Also threw in the 15U WWBA in Atlanta which was about a 8-9 day trip with travel and games.  I think we have played about 20 games so far with three weekends to go so guess we will settle somewhere around 32-35 games for the seven weeks or so.

All our workouts during the week are first thing in the morning so I have lots more free time in the evenings than I ever did when he was playing youth ball.

Between HS legion ball and his TB team, my son has played 24 games since June 1.

Son is a rising college sophomore and is playing Sr Legion.  The original schedule had them playing 4-5 games a week.  Now with the district tournament less than a week away, they have several games to make up due to the rainy weather we've been experiencing.  As it stands now, beginning tomorrow they will be playing 5-6 days straight, maybe a day off with the district tournament right after that.

Since June 8th they've managed to get 12 games in (9-3 record) - originally 20 games had been scheduled over that time.  Have had 9 rain outs of which they've managed to make up three.

Wow - with both a 2016 and 2018 playing, I have no evenings.  But at least I have something to look forward to after work each day.

With a travel team like yours, how frequently and how many innings/pitches do pitchers throw per week?

Most throw pens on Wednesday.  My guess about 30 pitches or so.

The three or four top pitchers will always throw each weekend.  4-5 innings per outing depending on how they are doing.  Then we have another 4-5 pitchers who might throw 2-3 innings depending on what is left.

Currently on this team we don't have any pitcher only guys.  A few are probably headed that way but for now the pitchers play in the field as well.
