Robinson,

I've known Coach Delgado for over 40 years. He and I played Little League baseball together at Dvorak Park in Chicago.

Top notch program with top-notch facilities. They play at the new Jackhammers stadium in Joliet.

Start the season in Texas each year for about 20 games and come back with their heads on a plate and then usually proceed to win 25 out of the next 30 games up here. Very competitive. Will LEARN the game of baseball inside and out from Tony and his assistants. Tony played on top-shelf teams for Gordy Gillespie; and, I believe he coached with Gordy to 3 national titles in NAIA while at Lewis College (now University); and, the College of St. Francis (now University of St. Francis).

Tony has tons of his former players coaching in the high school ranks in Illinois. All very competitive programs.

Have your dad call me at 815-469-4520 and I'll be happy to tell you more.
Robinson.......there is a St. Francis College in Indiana that is NAIA.....the D-II designation in the NAIA refers only to basketball; in all other sports there is only one division. St.Francis competes in the Mid-Central Conference, which is made up of mostly Indiana NAIA schools.

I agree with Been there regarding Tony Delgado and St. Francis of Joliet, IL....wonderful man and great NAIA program with tradition.
