we had practice at 8 in the morning

have you had your final cuts yet??? roster not posted on the web site...STE will be tough..STN has lots of young talent. WV lost some seniors. what does LP look like?

yah we had cuts on saturday..we have a strong line up with power up and down but our pitching might be a downfall this year..we lost 2 juniors who can throw decent and we lost a senior who is a top notch pitcher but didnt make eligibility this year. Other than that we should have a solid club and put up some big offensive numbers this year. My grades are finally good this year so im excited to see what i can do too

Ben Stell had a problem with his elbow first day of tryouts and now might need surgery so he is done for the year. Another Junior 6'5" Fredy Malawski who had a great summer for us has recieved intrest from Purdue in Football and decided to Not play baseball. Hurt us big time losing them 2, both solid starters

STCE will have solid pitching this year with Livermore and Reid along with solid defense. Offense might be the only question mark for this team

Livermore is Definatly going to be the most dominating in the conference this year..should be all around great baseball in this confence this year


East...did livermore play in the Area Code Games this past Year?? He missed the game against us because of tryouts for AC..Did he play??

I guess I am glad to see that Mena is giving up some time off of myspace to do something productive with his time. Phil is right, we did lose three pitchers but we will work with what we have. Our guys are working hard and we should be an improved team from last year. STCE is always tough. STCN and Coach Genke have a solid program as well. I wouldn't overlook Streamwood this year, they have a new coach. I would say that the UEC is up for grabs this year. The team that is most consistant should win it. You can't afford to take an 0-3 and still have a chance at the UEC championship. The one thing I know about baseball, is that anyone can win on any day. Welcome to the board Mena. I look forward to reading your posts.

Sawicki will most likely be playing 2B this year. He could be a middle of the line up hitter, possibly 5th or 6th. Like Mena said, we "should" have a decent line up this year. As long as our guys think team baseball and don't try to play long ball all the time we should put up good numbers. The long ball comes from working good hitters counts and also by taking advantage of the pitcher's mistakes.If we can throw strikes and field consistantly we should be above average.

looks like a lot of things have happened in confrence this week....just proves anyone can beat anyone on any given day...bartlett beats stc east and stc east smoke waubonsie....lp beats stc north and gets beat by them the next day...lots of events...definatley a good confrence

With the exception of a few teams the Upstate Eight is anyones to take.Solid teams that on any given day can beat each other.Will be fun to see who comes out on top.
