I understand that VT recently has had a coaching change, and it just so happens that the former BC head coach is their new coach. I recieved letters to go to the BC camp junior and sophomore year, and now I have one to go to the VT camp senior year. Do you think that it's just a mailing list that Coach Hughes has borrowed from his BC days, or do you think it's serious interest? I know that VT is a very difficult school to get into and I have a GPA around 3 but SATs around 1900. I wanted to know if anyone thinks it's worth going (I live in Mass.).

Camp invites are fine and I'm not trying to burst anyones bubble, but it is just a camp invite.

A camp invite can be a wonderful opportunity for coaches to see you in their environment and if it is a school that you have strong interest in thats even better.

Assuming most of you are Jr's or younger as you name gets out there on tournament rosters etc. you can expect to get more invites. Also if you have sent the school a letter or filled out a questionaire you will be on the mailing list.

Be happy you are getting the invites but be aware that it is just one step in a process.

Best of Luck!!

I know I dont have the grades to get into VTech however there are alot of great baseball schools in that area.

Yeah, I probably can't get in there either. The average GPA is very high.
