The draft always leaves some questions. There are too many things to try and figure it out - different organizations have different needs obviously, but they also have different philosophies. Kids slide because of signability issues, etc. The first few rounds I think are usually predictable, after that..... lots of surprises.
Thanks, everyone.. and congrats to all the other posters whose sons were drafted today. Today was a very special day.

The most amazing thing.. there were six (that's right 6 players from Rusty's Summer team (all kids from the Spokane area) that were drafted today. Those players: Rusty Shellhorn (Bum, Jr.), Trevor Shull, Andrew Kittredge, Beau Brett, Jarek Cunningham, and Bryan Peterson. Good job, boys.
I know this is not about Websters sons but the Cards had some pretty interesting picks.

One is the navy pitcher, Mitch Harris... will the Navy let him play?

Scott Boras' son... will he be advised to sign or go to college first?

And then there's Eric Fornataro, who obviously never gave up.

This kid is making his MLB debut right now, against the Phillies!!

He's throwing 98 mph!!!
