Team One Southeast had about 20 colleges present.

The Clemson invitational had close to one hundred as I recall.
the WWBA in East Cobb by PG is reputed to have had over 400.
The Impact World Championships at UNC had a lot, but I don't know the exact #.

Jupiter Fl, however is supposed to be the largest scouting event. It is held in October and has between 600 to 1,000 we were told by our coaches.
My son went to a number of events this summer (on the west coast) and not all were showcases. He is a rising Jr for ref.

I would rank them as follows:

1. Area Code: By far the best and most scouts available and it is free. If you make the team (which my son did not...most are Sr's) he will get more exposure than anything he can ever do and the cost is $0.

2. USA Nationals 16U. By far the most talent I have seen at an event. Not a showcase. I met quite a few college scouts there. (Have not been to East Cobb)

3. Sout team tryout, and subsequent games this fall. Best value for the money.

4. PG event.

You don't mention his age, but frankly he will do better being in direct contact with the schools he is intereseted in and playing on a high quality team in the summer. Letting them know his schedule and stay in contact with them.
Wayne:

Google 2009 Area Code Games. The top result ought to be the ESPN site, which is the official place with rosters, results etc...

The 2009 Area Code Games were at Blair Field in Long Beach CA from Aug 5-10. As always, they were amazing with a remarkable array of scouts, scouting directors and college coaches watching.

Unfortunately, it is too late for 2010s. This was there year. Next year is will be mainly 11s with some 12s and even an isolated 13.
Being in Georgia I can speak from experience for my son.

The Young Harris College showcase is hands down one of the top showcases in the state. There were over 50 scouts there and the open player/parent Q&A the night before put on by college coaches was worth every penny.

They have 2 of these every fall. Typically if you don't sign up by spring you won't get in.
