What are you addicted to?

Baseball. Third is my wife and she knows it.

#2) Shrimp with cocktail sauce.
#3) Potato chips in vanilla ice cream
#4) Moose hunting

Cigarettes, sugar, and coffee in my morning...and then there's the (other) addiction...been clean and sober for 15 years

My addictions?
The sound of a Suzie mallard as she wings her way over my duck blind nestled deep in the Forked Deer River Bottoms on a crisp winter morning.

Setting on an oxbow lake and hearing the sound of a largemouth bass as he explodes on a buzzbait as it slowly chugs its way through the stillness of a Tennessee morning.

Hearing my kids say...”I love you”.

Just kidding. Baseball, beer, cigarettes, and Angelina Jolie.

High school, girls, MCD's fries and ice cream. Not baseball of course, its lame.

Still remember my youngest out with me when he was about 9 and I have him running a buzzbait thru the fog at 5 in the morning ---SPLAT and he has one on--his first keeper-- 6 plus pounds and all he could say when he got it to the boat was "holy ----!"

Hey, you husbands who mentioned your wives in the top three should definitely get extra points, how sweet! My husband must be one of my top addictions also, since our first date was 30 years ago (New Year's Eve) and I still have a big crush on him.

But the other addiction that came to mind for me is:

Violins - playing them, and collecting old bargain instruments via eBay.

MN-mom, my lovely better half of 23 years once had to hear me say she was the second best decision I ever made. First was a curve ball I called on a 3-2 count with 2 out in the seventh of a 1 run game, bases loaded. I knew our pitcher and had confidence in him, and he froze the batter. Of course all was tongue in cheek. That was on the morning of our 20th anniversary. I haven't lived that one down yet.

Julie, One of our dads talked about how much he loved his wife in the chat room the other night and took a few jabs (kind jabs of course) from the other dads. However, us moms put him up on the top of our list and gave him a key to the ladies forum!

My addictions: My kids, baseball, UK basketball (not quite getting the right "fix" with that this season)

Geeze - everyone is talking about wives and kids and grandkids - and I am talking about shrimp and potato chips and moose-hunting.

Hey Its, if you have a significant other who wants to know what you're doing on the computer half the night like I do, I can show her how I've been talking about her. Then after she see's this, she'll leave me alone to talk baseball.

Listing my wife is too obvious. I proposed to her when we were both in 2nd grade in 1968. Of course, I didn't know what that meant back then, but basically I have been in love with her my whole life. If only she felt the same way j/k

My three addiciations have always been listed in my bio so no one can accuse me of copy catting. They are:

1) Sports (Football, baseball, basketball)

2) Hunting

3) Fishing - yes bass fishing in particular. Crank baits, buzz baits, spinner baits, Ruppala's, rubber worms, live worms, minnows, you name it they have all worked for me. Any of you guys try fly fishing for bass? It is awesome

4) Smoking but gave that up in June

KellerDad - Both of my kids think I need one! Of course HSBBW is on my list!

Well for me it is hunting and fishing when we're not playing baseball. Fortunately for me, my son's passions are exactly the same, though the new GF (who went steelhead fishing with him yesterday ) might be gaining ground.

TPM, With all due respect to Bullwinkle, Moose hunting is great, you don't know what you're missing unless you've tried it. But, I'll take a frosty morning in a duck blind, watching the sun rise over the marsh anyday to almost anything. Hearing the sound of an elk bugle in September is also a special passion for me. Some of the best days of my son's and my lives have been shared together doing these two things.

Family is also at the top of the list, but has its' own special place so it doesn't get compared to the hobbies or interests.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think of my wife, kids & grandkids as addictions, although I love them very much.

My two kids. Love being around them, doing things with them. Watching them perform (whether on the diamond or in the concert hall) or just hearing them laughing together as they share some time. When you think of all the kids in this world who live in miserable conditions, are there many greater blessings than being able to hear your kids laugh?

Couldn't ask for anything more than these two terrific kids (and yes, they get all their good traits from their wonderful mother).
