coach will usually pull my son after 65-70 pitches. then will either put him in left field or the bench depending on if they need his bat...
How is listed when pitches? P/DH?
Then he can remain in the game as the DH. Check you HS rules on the DH rule.
If he needs to remain in the game, then LF and have the SS go "deeper" to reduce the long throws.
Cal Ripken did this with the Orioles with their LF.

My son would frequently go to first base after being pulled. He was a lefty and that was a natural place to go after throwing.
More than 80-90 pitches, its the bench.
