The below link is a short video about Jeremy Wolf, a 2016 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Jeremy and our son are a bit of bookends about the success of under-appreciated HS players who blossomed in college and beyond, on and off the field.

Coach Scannell, who in 2016 was selected as the National College Coach of the year (Skip Bertman award)  is the only coach in the US who identified and recruited Jeremy, as he was years before with our son, with a view they would lead Trinity to the highest levels of D3 baseball, and get drafted, and have a shot at their dream in MLB/MILB.

Jeremy and his teammates got Trinity to the place our son and his teammates could not-2 years at the D3 National Championship and the 2016 National Championship trophy. Our son's team was defeated in the final West Region game losing to the eventual 2004 national champion.

On the weekend Jeremy received his Young Alum of the year award, our son was inducted into the Trinity University Athletic Hall of Fame, the first recruit (and by no means the last) of Coach Scannell to be inducted.

While I very rarely post, I periodically read about the angst and anguish that continues to  come with chasing the college baseball dream, especially at the D1 level. COVID, NIL, Transfer portal, etc.

Whether a HS player is looking at 4 years, or 40, stories like Jeremy Wolf are proof positive there are great programs, Universities and Coaches without ever looking at a D1. As Jeremy noted, he will tell his children and grandchildren that a decision he made at age 17/18 was the very best decision he made in his life.

18 years after his graduation, our son absolutely loves Trinity University, as evidenced by his support of a couple of his 2022 HS grads, where he is Athletic Director, who are part of the football powerhouse being developed at Trinity by former NFL player and Trinity Grad, Jeremy Urban.

Hope many who read this site will find this video about Jeremy Wolf eye opening and helpful.
