CD,
You got to join facebook, spiz posts some amazing pics of his travels over there.

TPM - I am afraid that if I start goofing around over at facebook that there will be no more time left in the day for me considering how much time I spend here Big Grin

Go for it, you'll like it, lots of HSBBwebsters there, I think you will like it.
Here I am. No worries, and thanks so much for the nice words. You folks are the best!
Life has been very good in Spizzleland, and I must say it’s been busy in a most beautiful way. The DL has its benefits. Some of us need a break from routine every now and then. I guess my ruts aren't as well-travelled these days. As TPM well knows, lately I’ve been spending a lot of time being strangely un-obsessed with baseball. I’ve climbed the mountain, I found the friendly confines, and I’ve communed with the ancient ones. Inspiration has found me, and evidently I'm not in such bad shape after all.
Along the way I’ve managed to pick up plenty of lumber for the hot stove- hopefully enough to get me through ‘till spring. I’ll be looking forward to more baseball adventures soon and connecting with HSBBW friends for a ballgame. Right now I’m taking a hard look a weekend series in March at Goodwin Field. Of course there's also the prospect of spring break in beautiful HI. (USC and AFA fans let me know if you or your sons will be there). If anyone plans on coming to ABQ give please me a shout. You’d best prepare yourself for a great meal.
Many thanks to those that have asked about my son, and especially those that offered such great advice. To update, Sam decided to return to school for his JR season. I think he made the right choice. Something just didn’t feel right to him about signing. Sometimes you have to go with what your gut tells you. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in 2010. For now, he’s in a very good place.
Here’s wishing that all HSBBW sons and daughters are in a good place too. For those that aren’t, let’s all hope and pray they return safely, and soon.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week and holiday season. Cheers!
