Just trying to get a better feel for the group.

If your player is no longer playing, what year (e.g. 2001) did they stop, what position did they play and what was their final playing level (e.g. HS, D1, D2, D3)? If they played in college, what conference did they play in?

If your player is currently playing in college, what is their grade (e.g. Red Shirt Freshman, Senior), playing level, conference and position? For example: Junior, D2, PSAC, pitcher. And, have they been at that school the whole time or did they transfer?

If your player isn't even in HS yet, what's their HS graduation year (e.g. 2026), playing position and have they ever reclassified or intend to reclass?

If your player is in HS, what's their position and graduation year? Have they signed their NLI yet? Are they verbally committed to a college yet? When did they verbally commit (e.g. October of Junior year)? If they signed or verbally committed, what level will they play at (e.g. D1, D2, D3, Juco.)? Where does that college fall in their division (e.g. P5 conference, mid major D1, Top 20 D2)?

Everything you need to know about me and my 3 sons is in my HSBBWeb profile.

Francis brings up a good point (above) for some of the newer posters.   If you haven't already, please tell us a little bit about yourself in your HSBBWeb profile (click on your Avator at the top right of the webpage).   This helps the board better understand who you are and your baseball situation.

maybe you can explain your location "Nootka Sound"?  Tried to "google"!

How old is your son? Is he planning to enter College?

That locatoon was a joke based off an old Tom Hardy FX show. Son will soon be 17. Two years of HS left. He is committed to a very strong D2 program. From the school to the coach, everything checks all the boxes for him and his goal is to win a national championship once he is attending.

The information is in the profile. I always check other’s profiles when I’m not familiar with them. It helps to understand their perspective and where they’re coming from.

My kids grew up in a large state. I now live part time in a moderate sized state and a small state. The perspectives I hear at high school games are completely different and less informed than were my kids grew up.

College SR, D3, transfer. Has been contributor since day 1, started since mid sophomore year. More importantly deans list and recent grad school acceptance.

I have learned much and watched him grow up at the same time. He went from a semi scared kid in the 4 hole of game 1 freshman year, to the bench, to a transfer, to take a starters job, to becoming a leader....it has been a crazy ride at times but he is doing great.

Mine ticks a lot of boxes. He is about to finish his third year at Iowa, which would make him a junior in years. He has enough credits to graduate at the end of the semester, so is an academic senior. Because of credit for last year, he's a COVID sophomore for baseball.

Mostly he's a RHP who's working his fanny off to get the next start and be the best that he can be.

My son is a freshman RHP at Northwestern University; they are playing the first series of the season in the dome in Minneapolis this weekend! He is working hard to earn some time on the mound. He's had to quickly learn how to balance a tough engineering program with being a student athlete. This board was very helpful when my son went through his recruiting process - shoutout to @Gov!

My son is a 2024 C/OF - he switched high schools this past fall from the small independent school where I teach to a school in a bigger conference so that he'd have teammates who are going where he wants to go (HA competitive baseball colleges/universities). His first baseball practice is this Friday, March 5th.   Kid has not reclassed - his birthday is in late September, meaning that he is one of the oldest kids in his grade as it is (the PA cutoff is September 1st).
