For me, Plano East looks very strong and should be a contender in their district. Hope everyone is enjoying the start to another season as much as I am.

I would agree Plano East looks very good. Grapevine also looks very strong
Plano East looks very good. Grapevine and Coppell also look good
This list will be extensive but these are the teams that have I have seen or heard from friends that have played well thru the first 15 games of the season in North Texas in 5A.
Martin, Keller, SL Carroll, Coppell, Marcus, Grapevine, Allen, Rockwall, Lewisville, Jesuit, Sachse, Plano East and Heath. Sorry if I left someone out that is playing well in the area but these I have seen play or have reliable sources that have given me updates.
Flower Mound Marcus, Coppell and Grapevine have impressed me and I've heard great things about Allen. I haven't seen them but I'm sure SL Carroll is very good. I've seen Plano and they're crushing the ball like they always do.
Plano East flies under the radar but they're just doing what they did after last year's 4-8-1 start (when they finished season 18-8 against a beastly schedule and went three rounds deep). It's no great secret how it happens - pitching, defense and an efficient offense that gets men on base and hits with some pop.
It all starts with the pitching and when you give up only 36 runs in 15 pre-district tournament games against several good teams, you not only have quality pitching, you have quality depth.
PESH doesn't fly under the radar for those of us who are tuned into the district they play in. It will be a dogfight in that district again this year.
Allen went 7-3-2 in tourney play... played well in every game except for 1 and that was yesterday, but a very, very good team (Marcus) made them pay for mistakes. There are some new faces contributing in a big way. Should be fun now that district is starting.
See you guys at PESH on Tuesday and back at our place on Fri. Weather is supposed to be fantastic.
Oh...sorry, back to topic.
Marcus, Coppell are teams I've seen that look really good in 5A. Playing in the same district together with Hebron (who has also started very strong) will be fun to watch.
Tomball and Argyle in 4A. Lovejoy will also make noise in their first season at 4A.
