March predictions on who win state. Come on let's get real. Hopefully atleast 50 degrees is on it's way soon. Freshman and Sophomore baseball in the cold is less than thrilling to say the least. I lost my hot chocolate mug last week at the field.

andrew hasnt proved anything to be ranked 7th right now, and none the less to win it all. I dont think OPRF has the pitching to win either. I could see LT winning, but Hinsdale Central i think will get it

you are dreaming. HC has a good player or 3 or 4 but to win state you have to have a good team and there are many good teams out there. LT is a good team but...they might not have the horses in the pen to help. I hope HC or LT puts on a good show throughout the playoffs and goes far but there could be a suprise coming from this area that no one knows about... keep your eyes out for a close catholic team to suprise some people this year..especially you guys. Good luck to you on a personal level..you are a good pitcher but one man does not make a TEAM, just ask Mike Bowden.......

It could be any of many teams. Look outside the Chicago area, "downstate" teams jump up and knock off the schools around the Chicago area from time to time and it could be their time.

It is still month and a half off, and we will see which teams start putting it together by then.

If you are making a real good bet you would have to pick Oak Park or St. Rita because their sectionals are so easy that they are almost guaranteed a spot in the super-sectionals. Teams like Sandburg or Benet are very good but their odds of making to the Elite 8 are lower because they are playing much tougher competition.

Thanks sweaty, I appreciate your comments. LT is a solid ball team this year, I hope to make it out to catch the LT HC game(s). How many left handed pitchers does LT have on their staff? sure seems like alot. The thing that hurts us is that we got bumped up to AA and now we will face teams like LT and even HC right away. So we need to get more solid as a team, and hit better, for our pitching we are the same as last year, if not better. So it will be interesting to see how some teams preform this year.

Nick, don't take my comments as negative. I am a realist and there are a lot of very good teams out there and there are a handful of good pitchers out there and you are in that group. You can beat a team once not 3 of 3 i'm sorry it's physically impossible. You will go against corky, danny will face your number 2, i guess its anthony, but i don't know. Then what you come back tuesday? I don't think your father would let that happen, you have to much ahead of you..... please keep that in mind...you have a very bright future and you must protect yourself. Because your high school sure isn't going to. You guys just keep playing good and we will have some very very good games. There is alot of respect for your team from our team unlike the other "threat" from our division which I don't think anyone likes. Again, I'm not saying anything negative about HC, the game will be played on the feild with 9 players and you guys will decide who beats whom. Bottom line it's a baseball game in the small speck of life, the true test comes in 11 months for you my freind. And I'm confident you'll be just fine. Good luck to you guys this weekend.
