4 RCs my son (2020) was in contact with during the winter-spring all switched schools within the last month. 1 took a HC job and tried to recruit him, others were just dealing with switching and went silent during the recruiting process..

Great illustration that shines light on a big factor not talked about enough when it comes to the frustration of not hearing back from a school when there has been previous positive dialog.

Combine this with the great demographic charts that CBI has been posting recently and the smart approach is cast a wide net within your own and neighboring states unless there are exception circumstances.
