1. There will be pitch limits.
Because the tourney is early in Spring Training, pitch limits have been put in place.
Round 1: 65 pitches per game
Round 2: 80 pitches per game
Semifinals and finals: 95 pitches per game
REST: If a pitcher throws 50 pitches, he's out for FOUR days; if he throws 30, he needs one day of rest. Pitchers cannot pitch more than two consecutive days.
2. All games will use the DH.
3. Mercy Rules
In Round 1 and 2, there will be a mercy rule. Games will end early if one team leads by 10 when the opposing team has batted in 7 innings or if a team leads by 15 when the opposing team has batted in 5 innings.
4. TIES
TIES will be broken if two teams have the same record in a round and would advance to the next round, the tie will be broken in this order:
1. Head to head play
2. Fewest runs allowed per innings pitched in that round
3. Team ERA in that round
4. Team batting average in that round
5. Draw lots to determine who advances
* FYI
