As I was sipping some coffee this AM, I saw this cartoon. Next thing I know coffee is coming out my nose. We all know a college baseball program (UVA comes to mind in my neck of the woods) where anything pitched by the home team anywhere near the plate (including the other batters box) is a strike. I see/hear the same thing at other ACC and SEC schools when watching college baseball games....Texas A&M, Miss State, South Carolina. I suspect it is the same for other major conferences. If its not a strike, the crowd moans and groans, and says something uncomplimentary about the umpire.

Clemson has some rowdy season ticket holders who love to harass the Umps as well.

It’s not as bad as it used to be, but in the days of the Southwest Conference, when you played against the university of texas (in Austin) there were at least 11 men in the field that bled orange. Sometimes 12.

No, it was part of my daily Internet news feed. I wasn't aware magazines still existed!
