I assume when you typed "JC" above that you are referring to Junior College. If I am incorrect, then I digress. But my son faced YH back when he was in a local JC here in Georgia. At the time it was THE JC to attend and play ball at. Tough as nails team to beat and put out many draft picks along the way. However, it is my understanding that maybe 3-4 years ago(?) they went Division II which I believe makes them a 4yr college now. Again, you may need to double check me on this but I think it's correct. They no longer have the same coach who was there in their JC heydays but I do believe they are still a very competitive program. As far as attending college in that neck of the woods, I would recommend to your friend (and his parents) that they do their homework about that "area" and attending school. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere with practically NOTHING for college kids to do. I'm not exaggerating at all, trust me. lol. Their best source of information to learn this is find kids attending there now and ask of their experiences.
