A bit of context.

My son is a 2019 infielder who plays September to June on a top level team in Taiwan. He has made the national team and is by all accounts, a solid player. He has dual citizenship.

I am from Pacific Northwest, so return to greater Seattle area for July and August to visit family, enjoy the weather and give son a chance to play on a Select team there.

His goal is to play University ball. In terms of baseball development, Taiwan provides a very sound system for mastering the fundamentals and plenty of practice time and highly competitive games.

In terms of academics, he is enrolled in an NCAA approved online school, as we homeschool in Taiwan to ensure that he has the academic background to do well in school and life beyond baseball (Taiwan's baseball structure does not allow for much academic development).

In reading the forums, the one thing that I see mentioned many times is to join the most competitive team where the boy can play. He does that now in Taiwan, and am looking for a way to do that in the States during the summer.

Since he plays ball in Taiwan, his exposure in America is less, and his coaches here have no network in the States.  As many opportunities are invitation based or dictated by geographic location (e.g. zip code) this makes getting those invites more challenging.

In 2016 we are thinking of summering someplace other than Pacific Northwest to give our kids a taste of other parts of the US, and to see if we can provide a different level of exposure to our son.

Our intention is to see if there is a geographic area with more summer baseball exposure than Pacific Northwest, or if there is a team with a competitive summer travel schedule that he could play on.

If so, he might be able to try out this year and play next year, or try out in early July and play later in the summer.  There are still a number of gaps in our schedule, and we may in LA area in early August.

Any ideas are welcome, and feel free to PM me if you would like more details or have specific suggestions.
