Stros v Dodgers would be nice... tired of Maddon this and Maddon that!

Or Yankees v Dodgers?

East Coast vs West Coast would be interesting.

Interesting how there are teams from North, South, East, West.

So your saying Yankees v Dodgers?

I’m cool with that...

Might see Yankees if they go to a consolation game format.

Ha, ha.

I said it would be interesting, but I already said a while back before playoffs Astros vs Cubs.

Oh and Harper being punk and Bryant not being has absolutely nothing to do with on field performance.

Please expound on your sage comments. We are all eagerly awaiting to hear the details on why Harper is a "punk" & Strasburg is a "clown."

PS: Regarding your" curse" comments etc. What are we in freakin HS again? Your team has a curse & let me call players names cuz it makes me feel smart........You are about as "old school" as the Eagles "kneel in" protest.

Apparently you have not been paying attention to baseball for the last 100 years or so....search curse of babe Ruth Red Sox and curse of goat cubs....the internet is your friend

my opinion on Harper being a punk really isn't that controversial and I certainly am not alone in the opinion.

Random thoughts.....

Last night, Ranked #2 Clemson lost to unranked Syracuse. While the sports are completely different, Dabo took FULL responsibility for the loss.

It's true that players need to take responsibility, but personally my son has never played on a team where the HC or manager didn't take responsibility for the loss publicly. They get credit for the win, why not the loss?

Behind the scenes players would get their a $$ s chewed off for not doing what they should.

Recently the Cardinals fired their ML pitching coach when the HC should have been fired because they missed playoffs.

Brad Ausmus contract was not renewed for the same reason. Tigers want a new philosophy.

Twins pitching coach let go, twins want a new pitching philosophy.

Team chemistry. If you have too many superstars in the clubhouse, things don't gel so well.

The man in charge should always bare the responsibility, but most teams handle their business the way they seem fit. That also may include the GM who brings in players. Teams who have winning records have smart people knowing how to build a team.

For every team in any sport, it's about winning, whether it be a conference championship, bowl championship, national championship, etc. I don't see why anyone who brought their team to playoffs should be fired, because that is what  managers,  coaches etc. are supposed to do. Have winning records.

There is no sense arguing who bares responsibility, it lies on everyone's shoulders.

I agree with RJM on Boston, too many distractions going on before the the game. Unnecessary.

Too many mental errors by the Nats. Maybe they are cursed?!

I think that Indians thought they would move on and underestimated their opponent.

Kudos to Girardi, who has put up with enough player crap to last a lifetime and won being the wild card.

I didn't follow the Dodgers because it is obvious they would dominate AZ. Are they prepared to do that to the Cubs?

Seager is out for the year. That is a big break for the cubs and should make them the favorite as seager is clearly the Dodgers best position player.

It is a big loss, but it hardly makes the Cubs a favorite, the Dodgers are still so deep they should win the series in 6 even without Seager.

Doesn't mean they have no chance but seager is a 5 win player and the dodgers edge wasn't that big to begin with. That means the dodgers have to start either utley or Culberson and their line-up isn't as deep as the cubs lineup anyway.

This isn't ad bad as losing a starting pitcher though.

Poor, lazy throw by Judge.

Shouldn't sanchez still have picked the throw? It bounced but the runner still would have been out.

Sure. But lazy throw is inexcusable. Effort/mental error. Sanchez not gloving ball is physical error.  Ball didn't even reach wall. Altuve shifted back to first on pitch, then hesitated.

All that said, Altuve should have been out, a bad send by Pettis.

Culberson says different!

B̶B̶ RMAN> You are watching the 2017 Dodgers not the 2015/2016. They have a very deep bullpen and don't need Kershaw to carry the team anymore.

Dominik85> Seager who?

In Cubs defense, the Dodgers were expected to win this game because of the wear on the Cubs pitching staff, the real series really starts tomorrow.

Who’s BBMAN?

Astros v Dodgers!

As good as the Astros are, the Yankees (and Girardi) are impressing me a lot....which is really difficult realization for me.   I underestimated the Yankee's (so did Cleveland) pitching staff and their lineup despite some rookie players who get all the headlines and strikeouts to go with it.  I guess Maddux and Glavine said it best...."Chicks dig the long ball", but what wasn't stated is that managers hate the 200+ strikeouts per year.   There is a enough Yankkee offensive fire power to make up for those 2-3 rookie strikeouts per playoff game against the best pitching in the MLB.  Possibly there is a silver lining....he isn't hitting into doubleplays.

Whatever happens, the Yankees have demonstrated they have rebuilt and are more than competitive.  They are going to get better which is going to make the AL East a tougher place to be.

The Astros just look like a better all-around team at this point in time.  We'll see how they do at Yankee stadium.  I'm looking forward to it.

As far as the NLCS goes.....meh.  I want to see Dave Roberts succeed.   Lord knows I've seen enough of the Joe Maddon schtick over the years.    As far as the teams go, I just can't seem to get into it yet.

Astros fan and long time despiser of the evil empire.  I like the young players on the Yankees. They will be a force to reckon with for years. Baseball is in a great era right now of young stars. Good times!

Seriously fenway, your kill'in me. I must admit that last year I was a bit conflicted, being a long time Dodger fan, but also a closet Cub fan and feeling their 108 years of frustrations... not this year however!!!

...I do agree with you on Roberts, he has proven himself to be one of the best managers in baseball, plus he is a nice guy.

Stros v Dodgers, barring a miracle!

You sure 'bout that? :-)

Miracles do happen and the Yankees are starting to hit on all cylinders when it counts... geez, they’re are crazy good when they hit. We could see Stros v Yankees in the ALCS for the next several years!

Either way, don’t care who wins... I’m like a kid at Christmas watching this years postseason!
