In the Draft Forum, PG talked about their player rankings. I'm not seeing any rankings on PG site. Unless it is their rating system for ea. player at a showcase? Am I missing a link?
(For instance, T1 has top HS seniours, top 3rd basemen, top lefties, etc.) Does PG have rankings like this I'm just missing? Confused
THANKS

Oh, well didn't think of that. I tried their player finder and nada....so I guess if that's the case the player either hasn't attended a showcase/PG event or hasn't been evaluated.
Answers my question. Thanks!

Perhaps it's not always about the rating PG gives you. The ID camps, especially, may mean different things to different kids. Mine is an '08, so does attending a PG event mean anything as far as college ball or higher? Absolutely not. What these events have given my kid is another reason to persue whatever level of excellence he can personally achieve. He wants to go out there next summer and see how he stacks up. It may be a total disaster for him, but he's a good player and this vision of attending a future PG ID camp has infused him with a newfound dedication to getting himself ready. I think that's as valuable as getting a rating.

It’s not just for draft prospects. To have options in the college recruiting process, you need to get your name out there to as many colleges as possible. No place better than being recognized by a group that has years of professional scouting and college recruiting experience. Even with the college coaches not in attendance, the rankings PG publishes along with the scouting information on players that they provide directly to college programs can be priceless. Yes, the ranking isn't anything by itself, but it’s a big step in getting your son recognized by the college or MLB team of their dreams.
