Nice to bounce back with a win tonight! Appleby dominated. At one point, he struck out 6 in a row and 7 out of 8 hitters! Trent runs his record to 15-0 over the last two HS seasons.

Flower Mound 9
Coppell 3

Coppell's pitching problems were apparent, tough day, 6 errors didn't help combined with 6 walks and two or three hit batsman. Flower took advanatage of ever extra chance and Coppell didn't. Neal battled on a night he didn't have his best stuff ( real tight strike zone didn't help...either side) to get into the 6th. Parrent closed.

No time to mourn this one, Tuesday and Marcus loom large.

Congratulations Flower Mound on the win.

Jordan Badarack. The kid is a sophomore and by reading his stats this year the kid is going to be a stud.

Congratulations Jordan. I am proud of you and all your hard work over the last two years!!

I won't comment on the game or the happenings because I wasn't there. Had a business dinner I couldn't get out of.

From what I heard though, I am kinda glad I missed it.

I'll just leave it at what is posted on Keller's website:

I hate to do it but with a score like that I have to ask. Was the game that good or that bad?

I don't really know what you mean by that. Northwest's starting pitcher, Freddie Main, threw 8 innings of 3 hit ball.

There just wasn't much hitting by either team. Northwest ran themselves out of two innings and it caught up with them eventually.

None of our pitchers were ejected for tackling a player because hit a shot off him, though.

I have to add the only run scored was unearned!?

I shouldn't post after another frustrating district loss...I respect Keller and it's players. It has been a tough season. I will remove my post.

I was not taking a shot at anyone, just looking for more details about the game. You know I have watched many of the NW kids grow up and coached a bunch of them too. Sometimes a score like that means a day filled with great pitching and defense. (A well played battle and fun to watch. ) Sometimes it means everybody looked bad at the plate but kept playing until someone stumbles into the win. (Not so fun to watch. ) It sounds like Freddie had a great day. On the other hand, it drives me crazy to watch a team run themselves out of an inning… crazy

As for tackling players after a big hit, I must have missed something yesterday and asked about the wrong game. That’s what I get for letting the wife talk me out of spending the day at the ballpark. It sounds like our games may have something in common. The score doesn't really tell the whole story.
