Nice to bounce back with a win tonight! Appleby dominated. At one point, he struck out 6 in a row and 7 out of 8 hitters! Trent runs his record to 15-0 over the last two HS seasons.

Coppell 3

Coppell's pitching problems were apparent, tough day, 6 errors didn't help combined with 6 walks and two or three hit batsman. Flower took advanatage of ever extra chance and Coppell didn't. Neal battled on a night he didn't have his best stuff ( real tight strike zone didn't help...either side) to get into the 6th. Parrent closed.

No time to mourn this one, Tuesday and Marcus loom large.

I was not taking a shot at anyone, just looking for more details about the game. You know I have watched many of the NW kids grow up and coached a bunch of them too. Sometimes a score like that means a day filled with great pitching and defense. (A well played battle and fun to watch. ) Sometimes it means everybody looked bad at the plate but kept playing until someone stumbles into the win. (Not so fun to watch. ) It sounds like Freddie had a great day. On the other hand, it drives me crazy to watch a team run themselves out of an inning…

As for tackling players after a big hit, I must have missed something yesterday and asked about the wrong game. That’s what I get for letting the wife talk me out of spending the day at the ballpark. It sounds like our games may have something in common. The score doesn't really tell the whole story.

Johnson really pitched a pretty good game. Lamar just couldn't get anything going. Lamar only had two hits and left the bases loaded once and a couple of times left 2 runners on. Osman was good. He got the outs when he needed them.

Dtiger, I was glad to see you and your teammates finally take the doughnut off your bats before you got in the batter's box against BB. Just kidding.

I must say (in an attempt to brag about being horrible) I was the only batter to face him and not K. I think the kid has... grown into himself nicely.

Dtiger, did you notice the next batter after just about every hit didn't stand a chance at the plate. I think they saw three pitches. Or after the only walk.

After his walk, I came up... and popped out... on the first pitch.

So, he hit your bat with the ball? See, no one's perfect. But, make no mistake about it, God CAN hit a 1-iron.
