Nevermind, disregard that. The teams for 2005 will be determined on how well teams do this year. Other than Schaumburg and Jacobs in it every year, the rest of the teams invited are usually the summer state champs, spring state champs, and a few other quality teams. They try to get the best competition for that tournament that they can.
Anyone from any of these teams have any predictions?

I think Schaumburg is going to take Niles West in the first game and I think BR will pounce on Libertyville in the second game.

Game 3 I will be suprised if STN loses to HDJ and I hear Stagg is the team to beat on the southside.

I'm taking AA Stagg to win the 04 Flyers Classic. I don't really believe any of this, but I figured I would stir the pot a bit!

Looking forward to the Classic!
The 2004 Schaumburg Flyers High School Classic will be presented by Country Insurance & Financial Services, also the Chicago Tribune, Sign-A-Rama, Buffalo Wild Wings, Riddell, MINE, the Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago, Hayden's Athletic, ARC Disposal & Recycling, and Pepsi.

Thanks to everyone who called and inquired about sponsoring a great event for the high school baseball players of the chicagoland area.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to John Sarna at H.D. Jacobs HS (847) 658-2504.
Yes, your correct about the velocity point, but again, a legit 90! Again, you have to be able to throw it over the plate, maybe that is why he did not get to many quality innings last year.........

From what I have heard, Stagg sounds like that have a tremendous hitting team. I've heard great things about their middle infielders hitting abilities.

I've picking AA Stagg to win this year's Flyers Classic.
mmmm, lets see, Adam Stabosz, probably our #1, but probably not throwing in the 90's (yes, you heard it here...a #1 pitcher NOT throwing in the 90's or 100's) but still a quality pitcher for Stagg..got some really good hitters, Ganz, Valcarsel, Martz and my son Maugeri. I think the team should do well, might struggle a little, but I think once they get it together they will be alright.
