I have heard from more than one college player who play at Easton Schools and they said the new COMP sounds funny which i have heard but it looks like it has a ton of jump. oh yeah it is also suposed to be top heavy
I hit with the stealth comp yesterday. Sounds alot like the Vexxum. Doesnt have the annoying "ping" like the regular stealth.Lotta POP and seems to be a bit "end loaded".
I actually had an 06 stealth (green and black one) and it dented. I sent it in to get the warranty replacement bat and recieved the new 07 stealth on May 1(silver and blue one). It is one hell of a bat.
i have the 07 stealth comp. And i agree it doesnt have a ping but i wouldnt say it sounds like wood. This bat has so much pop though. yesterday i got one on the sweetspot and it was an easy homerun but it went into a ditch so they called it a groud rule double. But i think the bat is amazing. I would reccomend it anybody.
i found out that the flex in a stealth causes a timeing difference that you need to get use to. I used the stealth 06 for half the season and was doing poorly no i am useing the bigstick (Rawlings) 06 and i am hitting very well now. The 07 might be better thought i just dont know.
regular flexes more than stiff. Stiff would be if you don't want it to flex as much, or if you have a faster swing. I don't care for flex bats myself, but I do like the alloy they use to make stealths. If only they made them in a non flex handle, I would be all over them.
I like dynastys, but be careful with their warranty service, they are very stingy. The next bat I buy will probably be a stealth of some sort, for the main reason that TPX ticked me off. You can see my entire topic on it in the players only forum.
I was able to buy a new '07 Stealth off Ebay for my son Matthew Sunday and it was just delivered today. He hit with it for some short toss into a net at our home and he felt it had a lot of "pop" and we both liked the solid sound rather than the high pitched "ping" a lot of other bats have.
They just came out about 2 weeks ago and all the internet bat companiew I looked at want anywhere from $359 to $399 for it. It is definitely the HOT bat as far as demand. I got it on Ebay for $235 and then paid another $13 for UPS shipping from California.
Ebay is a GREAT way to buy bats and after 6 or 7 purchases in the past 5 years I have always got a new bat with the plastic wrap still on it.
