#6 Cox-8 #1 Ocean Lakes-3 Top of 4th, One Out

Ocean Lakes starter Shawn Morimando found himself an early exit from todays game as he was pounded for 8 runs in only 3 1/3 innings. Tyler Lassiter was brought in to pitch for the Dolphins as they can only hope to salvage the score as it is now to get back to the sticks. Cox currently has one on with only one out.
#6 Cox-9 #1 Ocean Lakes-3 Top of 4th, 2 Out

Tyler Lassiter couldn't fare much better in his short outing as he was only able to manage one out, while walking one and giving up a single. He was pulled with the bases loaded and Spedden brought in Tommy Wright from RF. Tommy then continued the merry-go-round as he walked his first batter bringing in the 9th run.

WP-Bailey LP-Morimando

Falcon's pitcher Bailey was able to keep the Dolphin offense at bay and off balance all game as Cox routed the top ranked Dolphins 13-3. Despite Ocean Lakes jumping out to an early 3-0 lead on the bats of Alex Lambert and Casey Bryant in the first, Cox responded with 13 unanswered runs over the next 4 innings to blowout the Fins who were previously undefeated in the District. Cox was powered by a potent offense that was led by Kyracui's 2 run home-run and the Nine-Holes 3 run blast the next inning. Ocean Lakes committed too many errors in the field and issued several walks to the Falcon hitters, who then took advantage of these mistakes. Shawn Morimando(5-1) suffered the loss as he was looking for his 6th consecutive win. He was beaten for 9 runs in only 3 1/3 innings, thus suffering his 1st loss this season. The Dolphins are now 10-3(8-1 Beach District) and are now tied atop the Beach with Cox(8-1) and First Colonial(8-1).

The Diamond Fins are looking to get back on the winning track when they face their next big test, at #8 First Colonial on Tuesday, April 26th.
