Well, we did it last night. Check out the photo on our site:
Warwick Continental LL

There are 4 districts in our state. At the 9-10 and 12YO levels, there are 16 teams in our district, and I'm assuming the same in the other 3. But at the 11YO level, there are a few less, as some leagues don't send 11YO teams. Our district had 13 teams at 11YO. So that's about 50-60 leagues, most likely.

We played 5 pool play games, then a Crossover, then a District Championship... and our boys won them all. Then in States, we played 5 games total, losing just one (in the first game of the title series). Our opponent last night ended up in the loser's bracket early and was forced to play 7 games in 7 nights.

So our overall record from districts through states was 11-1. I'm sure larger states must play more games, but we're still quite proud of what our boys accomplished.

Regards,
Sandman

Thanks Callaway.

As you may know, 11YO LL stops at State level. So we take a much-needed week or two off of baseball from here. Wink

Fall ball will start in a couple weeks. I'm managing our in-house LL team, as well as a travel team that will compete w/ 3 or 4 local area leagues' 11YO All-Stars. No football this year (broke his ankle last year).
