PG site showing a 12 year old committed to Vanderbilt. This isn't serious is it?

The owner of the player (i.e., parent), can edit the profile and list any school they wish as their commitment. Doesn't mean it's real.
My son's commitment is listed. I can log in, choose to edit his profile and change it to a different college if I want. You can also choose to post what schools you're interested in. My guess is that a parent either clicked the wrong button, or is a bit overzealous.
You'd have to think most other schools will hold off on making offers during 6th grade, while the commitment is still in place, but if he decommits in 7th grade (once he finalizes what he wants to major in) it could turn into a real feeding frenzy with RCs across the country.
I've been holding off having my younger son make a list of target schools and start to contact them (I'm happy to proofread the email for him), but maybe I should prod him a bit -- after all, he finishes up third grade in a couple weeks.
I think I'll be taking futures on my grandsons. I think the younger one's arm action projects well and I'll be collecting velo data soon. Just so everyone can see the trends. Bloodlines are probably pretty decent if you consider their uncles
They're 2 and 4. Shooting to be the earliest commits in the history of college baseball...until someone else lowers it even more.

My guess is alcohol mixed with a parent clowning his buddies.

Be careful not to overvalue your grandsons. Somewhere out there are some mashers driving the ball and going womb.
Why you all waiting so long? We have sent around my wife's ultrasound pics and based on the project-ability of the fetus we've had numerous offers from top tier collages.
