I would also recommend www.bbidallas.com as a good source. Here in the next month or so, they will have a list of teams (in each age group) looking for players. The teams typically post their website here as well and you can check them out there and see if it's a good fit for you and your son. I would recommend going to several tryouts with different teams before making a commitment to one team. Look on their website and see at what level the team played the previous year (you can usually go to www.usssa.com and check out a teams USSSA record and see if they were a "Major" team) and see what kind of travel schedule they had. Then find out what "BIG" tournaments they plan on playing in this summer.

There are several excellent organizations/teams at this age group in N. Texas. The key is finding the right fit for you and your son. Hope this helps.
