Coaches are ALWAYS looking for talent ---- and I like the proactive way you think! Stats create some interest but I don't think a college coach would make a trip to see a 15 year old player based on a father's copy of his stats. Grades, while important to get into college, don't CREATE interest with the baseball coach. It's all about talent. I think college coaches look at grades (AFTER the player's talent has caught their attention) as either OK or NOT OK.
To be truly proactive, the schools your son is interested in (and where he's a good fit) should be kept informed that he's interested in their program and should be sent a current schedule and "reminders" from time to time (not just an email about an East Cobb tournament). Remember the recruiting "ride" isn't an event, it's a process that lasts a few years.

PS: after re-reading your post I think your son will be playing all summer for an East Cobb team ---right? If so I would include this in his communications with the colleges he's interested in.
