15u McHenry County Hurricanes

Do the Hurricanes have a 15u team this year? They were really a weak team last year.

They do. And, while they weren't as solid as some past Hurricane squads, it is definitely an exagerration to call last year's team "weak." Of course, that depends on your point of reference.

K13, that McHenry Hurricanes team last year really struggled. I seen them play in Lynwood in a tournament game, and they got beat really bad. Maybe they were missing some players that weekend, but they lost many games last year by lopsided scores. The Crystal Lake Bombers might have even been a better team than McHenry last year at the 14u level.

Rebel, the McHenry Hurricanes did take it on the chin at times last year. Although, there's no need to call them weak. They had a decent team.

Define decent. The Hurricanes weren't nearly as competitive last year as they were the previous years.

The most important factor when talking about McHenry is not about whether they took it on the chin last year or how competitive they were perceived to be or not to be , but rather the focus should be on how good of a coach that Dave Mottashed is.

He is an excellent teacher of the game ( something that is still required at this level ) and his priorities are always in the right place .

The Hurricanes really played poorly in a tournament last summer. It looked like a whole different team then from the previous years. I give them credit for scheduling games against the big boys. They just seemed over matched in talent and at fundamental execution when I seen them play.

We get it already! You weren't impressed with the Hurricanes last year. They are a solid organization with solid coaches--and, unlike some, they still care about teaching the game--not JUST winning. We play against them every year--they are usually very solid. And, we look forward to their tournament at CLS this year--it was solid last year. I wish them luck this season--except when we play them--then I only wish them good health.

K13, that's your opinion. I think many would strongly disagree. Anyways, enough on this conversation. I was just mentioning what I observed last season.

And that's just yours Rebel. So far, "many" is just you over and over. I called them "solid" and Sult called them "decent". No one is putting them on the level of the Sems, etc.
