15U Teams

There are so few teams that return for 15U.The top ones will travel to WWBA,PG,CABA,Jr. Olympics,etc.or the like.You need to find the one that fits your sons playing level & your budget.I'm sure there some I missed in this list:

Tidewater Drillers (beach)
• RBI Gold (Richmond)
• Va. Breeze (Richmond)
• Richmond Braves
• Charlottesville Ridge Runners
• Mazda Mets (NoVa)
• Va. Bruins (NoVa)
• Va. Elite (Fredericksburg-new team)

As said above, these are the elite teams in Virginia. The best by far is the Richmond Braves. I am currently a member of their team and we are tops in the nation. Currently ranked #3 in the nation and play top quality baseball with the best coaches around. We placed 4th in USSSA Nationals and are 4 in a row AAU State Champions. Enough Said.

Hate to rain on your parade, but while the Braves did win the AAU State championship last year at 14U, they are not "4 in a row AAU State Champions". In fact, I believe last year was their 1st year competing as a team. Great team with quality players from all over the state, but there's no need to embellish the facts.

Sorry about that Chris. What I meant to say was USSSA State Champions. I was actually on the USSSA State Championship Team last year, the Midlothian Wildcats. When they broke apart I joined the Braves and I have been eager to brag. Sorry about that one there, my mistake.

Come to think of it, have an Virginia Beach teams ever won a State Championship multiple years?

Sure there have been several Tidewater Driller teams over the years that have won multiple state championships. Can't guarantee all there players were from VA Beach (unlikely), but its rare for a dominant team to be able to field a roster of all local players...including your Braves team which had several players from this area on its roster last year.

There have been non Driller teams to do it. There have also been all local teams that have done it as well.

the virginia blasters have some of the more famous alumni in their orginizations and have had teams in the past at that age group...none currently though

The best team by far is the braves. They have a great coach in Mr. Mayors. Top 5 teams in the nation for sure.

I'm sorry all you Virginia Beach boys, lets take it to the field and see who's better.

let's remember that the original theme of the thread was asking for the top 15-u teams in the state of Virginia...I had the chance to watch the Richmond Braves play last summer and thought they were talented, disciplined, and well coached. I to believe they are one of the top teams on a National level I like to consider myself a baseball ambassador and over my years I have seen many talented teams in travel baseball and every National Champion the state has had in AAU and am proud of the state of Virginia for the rich heritage established. Since Travel Balls inception in 1991 in the Old Dominion many teams, players, and coaches have stood out to me but none more then those programs whose players, parents,and coaches exhibit ability, respect for the game and class towards others..It is said that you don't just learn character my losing..you can learn alot of it when winning also. remember Talent is God given, Be thankful. Fame is man given, Be humble. Conceit is self given, Be very careful.I wish all the teams in all areas of the state the very best in 07 and Happy Holidays.

Who has the best 15U team's in the country. with the best coaching and players. Showcase type...
