16-U 2004 Babe Ruth Southeast Region Tourney

and if that is not enough for you, Manassas Baseball League starts the next day hosting the 13-15 year old Southeast Regional, all games at Osbourn HS.

Then a week later, the BR World Series begins in Purceville (Loudoun County), VA.

As my husband is the commissioner for all three of these leagues, I am privey to the planning and implementation of these tournament. All three are being planned out, nothing seems to be have been missed on making sure these players experience an outstanding event.

If anyone heads to any of these, look for me.. I will be attending all of them.. Hey its the only way I will see my husband for the next month as he has to be at all games, for all events LOL

Coastal Plain and Albermarle play night for the eastern north carolina title and a berth in the southeast in Warrenton. The Coastal Plain 16's program will be trying to extend a streak of 7 straight trips to the southeast regional including three in Purcellville. Albermarle will but up a great fight. The two teams have
faced each other 5 teams in the last month with
four one run games, three of these games won in
walk off fashion.

In another one run game decided in the last inning saw Albermarle put a end to Coastal Plains doimance of the ENC state
tournament with a 6-5 win. Albermarle scored one in the second,
three in the third on 2 CP errors, and built a 5-0 lead through five innings. In the fifth CP scored 2 on 2 hits and help with three walks. Albermare had a 6-3 lead heading to the bottom of the 7th. CP got a 2 run home with no outs but Alb. relief pitcher Landon Jordan got the final three outs to hold on.
Albermarle will bring a outstanding defensive team (2 errors in 6 games vs CP), with good bats and average pitching. The pitching staff will be stronger if #1 picher /ss / number three batter Broc Sutton is able to return from a several ankle sprain that occured during warmups in the state tournament.
