2010 17U Ripken Invitational

20 of the top 17u teams in the country have been invited to participate in this highly competitive event at the Ripken Baseball Academy in Aberdeen, MD. Teams will have the opportunity to play at least one game at Ripken Stadium or at the brand new Yankee Stadium replica on the Academy grounds. Ripken Stadium - home to the Baltimore Orioles Single-A affiliate Aberdeen IronBirds, is a state of the art minor league stadium that is second to none. New for 2009, our Yankee Stadium is a full scale replica constructed with FieldTurf - a synthetic playing surface used to maintain consistent play, eliminate rain outs, and reduce the risk of injuries. Teams will also play up to two pool play games at off-site, high quality satellite complexes. Past satellite facilities include: Harford Community College, Stancil Field, Aberdeen High School, and John Carroll School, Calvert Hall College, and Towson University.
Games for the tournament will be played at the Academy or within a 10 minute drive from the Academy. This includes three pool play games, semifinals, and championship games. All Semifinals and Championships will be held on Thursday following the remaining single elimination games.
