situation #1: The batter hits the ball straight up in front of the plate. The catcher does not move and the batter(rh) takes one step in fair territory in front of the plate. The ball hits the ground in fair territory, then bounces back and hits the bat(still in the batters hand)then goes foul. Batter out, dead ball, all runners return-correct?
situation #2: the batter hits a pop-up in front of the plate and tosses his bat and runs to first. The catcher misses the pop-up but does get a small pc of it before it hits the bat on the ground and then bounces foul. Fair ball and ball is live-correct?

In sitch one if the batter is fair territory then he is out. If he is still in the box then it's foul.
In sitch 2 it is a fair ball and live.
