Coach 45.... the game was unexpectantly moved to Bridgeforth Field due to a lighting problem at JWHS. The Park Service would not allow us to use the field because 8 lights were out and they were afraid of a law suite if someone was injured due to poor lighting. It was a last minute decision and we didn't have time to notify anyone. People were at JWHS until 8:30 advising people who showed up where to go. We also advertised on WINC and a couple of other local stations. In the end it was unfortunate because I'm sure a lot of people missed out on a great game. Once again, my apologies.

In a dramatic finish, Post 21 out lasted Danville Post 325 to win the State championship 6-5 in 10 innings. Danville had taken the lead in the top of the 10th on a 2 run homer off Jason Byrne.

In the last of the 10th, Post 21 loaded the bases off starter Will Inman. Patrick Wingfield's single up the middle chased Inman and brought in Jake Thompson. With the bases loaded and 2 outs and 2 strikes, Brent Lockhart's single up the middle scored the winning runs for Post21.

Lockhart had tied the game in the last of the 9th with a bases loaded double. Lockhart had 5 RBIs in the game while winning pitcher Pat Wingfield had one.

Legion Post 21 will now travel to Boyerstown, PA for the Mid Atlantic Regional on August 12th.
