We need a total of three teams (one 18-U/two 16-U) to fill out the 2008 Best of the Midwest tournament in Peoria.
This event will be hosted by the Central Illinois Outlaws at Illinois Central College and various high-school fields throughout the Peoria area. We are hopeful of playing the finals at Peoria's O'Brien Field, but have not been able to confirm that yet.
Cost is $450 plus a dozen balls. That gives you a four-game guarantee (three in pool play, one in the finals).
Committed 18-U teams include: Bloomington Blue 18-U, Capital City Sluggers 17-U, Central Illinois Outlaws 18-U, Illinois Sparks 17-U, Kenosha Indians 18-U, Springfield Statesmen 18-U,St. Louis Pirates 18-U. Still need 1 team.
Committed 16-U teams include: Bloomington Blue, Central Illinois Outlaws, Kenosha Indians, Naperville Reds, Springfield Statesmen, Streator Zips. Still need 2 teams.
