With Navarro at #11 and Alvin at #16, Texas has 5 in the Top 16. That speaks to the wealth of baseball talent in the State...good luck in '09 guys.

I believe the top 6 teams were in the World Series last year. You think that has anything to do with the rankings. With a lot of turnover in the Juco teams, just due to the nature of the 2 year deal, these are difficult to guage. And, the only poll that matters is the one at the end.

Grayson had a terrific recuriting class the past year with the likes of Tate Allison out of Midland Lee, Ryan Beckman out of Crowley, and Ty Herrick out of Naaman Forrest. Look for Grayson to be tough for years to come...

They also picked up :

P. Palmeiro - C. Heritage
T.Toal - Southlake
J.Schrader - Haltom

as well as Vance Woodruff...who can throw from boths sides of the mound...what a recuriting class!

I also heard they picked up some outfielders at semester from some big D1 programs.

Grayson also picked up an absolute big time player from St. Louis by way of Nebraska named Dave Stewart.

Look for Howard to be in the hunt for the title as well...great coaching, awesome players, and terrific program!

Well I just got back from watching Paris JC win both games of a double-header against Grayson JC yesterday 1-0 and 3-1. Both games were extrememly well played and we saw some outstanding pitching for both Teams. It looks like it is going to be a fun season for both Paris JC and Grayson JC as both Teams were stocked talent wise.

PGStaff, Good to see 3 Texas programs in the Top 10, 4 in the Top 15. I hated to see C Monk Kreder leave Texas Tech at the fall break, but he will have an immediate impact at Howard JC.
