2011 Dallas D'backs Tryouts

How many teams in the 17-18U category will you have? Will there be a pure 17U team? My son will be playing 17U and is interested in your club. I know you have a very good 18U club as my older son played against them several times last summer.

Yes, the plan is to have a pure 17u team. We will have some kids from our 16u team last Summer as well new kids that we get through tryouts.

We are also planning on having a 17/18 team coached by Dennis Pelfrey and Joe Beck.

Our 17u team that finished in the CM Regional Semis last Summer will be a pure 18u team this Summer.

Do you currently have a 14U team or will you be forming a new 14U team for the 2011 season?

As soon as a decision is made regarding the weather tomorrow, I will post something in this thread and on our website. Most likely we will be forced to push them back a couple weeks.

The Dallas D'backs will hold tryouts on January 23rd at South Grand Prairie HS. Please see the schedule below.

Ages 17-18 - 2pm-3:30pm

I heard there may be tryouts this weekend, Sunday, the 23rd. Have 15 yr old looking for summer team.

You are correct. This Sunday at 12 for his age group.

In our third Summer, the D'backs will field five teams for 2011. We will have two teams in the 15u/16u division and three teams in 17u/18u division. We will play in the Dallas BBI in 2011 and play in a number of local tournaments.

We are currently trying to nail down the final roster spots for our teams. Specifically we are looking for 15u and 18u pitchers, but are always looking to add quality talent.
