Son just received "invite." I'm familiar with the Baseball Factory proce$$, but unsure as to what this thing is all about. Anyone?

Bump
$$$$ grab!
This is third year NTGson has been "invited" by the UnderArmour Showcase to cough up the $$$....there are too many other ways to utilize those dollars to enhance his skills and expand his exposure.
joemktg: agree with others. get ready for the phone calls, too. BucsFanSon received repeated calls from them last summer/fall to attend. while your son would likely and deservedly go far in the process, it is expensive as far as I know (and he can/has/will do same vis-a-vis recognition, etc.with PG.)
That's the Baseball Factory thingy. This looks to be different.

Yeah, same thing. Two sessions, one East, one West, leading to the UA AA Game in Chicago (which is the real thing). My guess is those participants are hand-picked.
Timely thread. So I plucked an invite from UA baseball factory (national tryouts) from my mailbox yesterday. We (my 2016) get tons of PG stuff, but this was the first (that I know of) from UA so I opened it up to take a look. It was for my 12 year old? How in the world do you evaluate a kid who hasn't played on a full size field or started puberty?
$99 to tryout and $299 will get you a try out plus a video and verbal evaluation with a follow up phone call.
