Jarred Kelenic from right here in southern Wisconsin is in the Top 5... Rooting for him. He is one helluva talent!
Vandy has 8 in the top 50. Now you know why their 2018 class is so big.

Yep, I doubt the top pitchers Hankins & Rocker or the catcher Banfield ever play for Vandy, they are going straight to the pros. Makes sense to have a big recruiting class.

Good observation. OTOH, even if all 8 sign -- the Top 50 covers basically the Top 3 - 4 rounds, since this is only high school kids and there will of course also be lots of college kids drafted -- that stills leaves 15 recruits in the 2018 class for Vandy.
They havent announced the top 50 college players yet.
Plus this will change many times in the next 9 months.
Edit: college top 50 up on baseball america.
I’m not sure about Vandy’s situation, but LSU brought in 18 recruits in this class. We lost 17 to the draft and graduation / transfers. Just because a school has a large class doesn’t necessarily mean they over recruit.

+1. Hope that your pitcher has a great fall!
Thanks TPM. I just pray for health.
My 2019 got to play against the #28 prospect on that list a few weeks ago. He not only hit the GW HR, but also has a ridiculous hose from RF. He's a player..no doubt!
Congratulations if your son is on this list. It is a testament to much hard work and the success it brought. We as parents are proud of all of our kids in anything they do., success as well as failures. Accolades such as this though has a special meaning. Good luck on the upcoming season.

Florida, Stanford, and LSU each with three out of the fifty.
